Vidya Skill Centre trains Grama Panchayath members in LED bulb manufacturing
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of Vidya and the Vidya Skill Centre jointly organized a three-day training on manufacturing LED lighting products for a group of selected members of as many as eight Grama Panchayaths under the Chowannur Block Panchayath during 8 – 10 December 2021. The programme included training on making LED bulbs, tubes, street lights and luxury devices. The various sessions of the training were held in the College Skill Center Lab. Skill Center members Anil P Srinivasan, Sheji Prakash, Jeeja K R and Nimmya P G served as the resource persons under the guidance of M Anil, Vidya Skill Center Head.

IT Infrastructure
967 computers are connected to the campus LAN and to the Internet. For Internet connectivity there are two leased lines connections having total capacity of 170Mbps. Major Internet Service Providers are BSNL and Asianet Telecommunications Limited. Campus LAN with 1000Mbps / 100Mbps speed covers the entire campus area and networks are logically segregated using Virtual LANs. VLANs are implemented using Cisco manageable switches -Cisco Catalyst 3850, Cisco Catalyst2960 and Cisco Catalyst SG300. LAN across the Buildings are connected using single mode fibre links.
Transport
The college provides buses for students and faculty to commute from various locations. In addition, the college is easily accessible by public transport as the campus is located only two kms away from Kaiparambu, the central point between Thrissur and Guruvayoor.
