This college was established based on guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Approval F.No. South-West/1-1419517371/2013/LOA dated 10-Apr-2013 and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University vide reference No: KTU/A/593/2015 dated 15/05/2015 and previously to the Kerala University vide reference No. Ac.B/02/17683/2012-13 dated 14/05/13 . With the short period, this institution has developed with its talented and committed faculty, high quality infrastructure, high technology teaching aids and by providing a serene atmosphere that complements academic life. VAST TC makes the students life in the campus very interesting and purposeful. The students are provided with opportunities to take part in sports & games, cultural programs, dramas, various club activities and National Service Scheme. In addition, ample opportunities are provided in participating and conducting seminars, workshops, symposiums etc. The trust was constituted with a vision to provide higher education and training to our younger generation who will be highly sought after by leading business houses worldwide.

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. Boys Hostel
VAST TC offers separate in-campus hostels are provided for men with spacious, well-furnished rooms. Common rooms offer TV, games, music, telephone, reading and internet facilities. Also provided are services of dining, laundry facilities, and 24-hours security.

Library
The college library is well stocked with books related to engineering and technology; industry-related and general topics. Library follows open access system in which readers can browse books of their interest. It has the latest magazines, newspapers, national journals, reference books, and other reading material. The library also owns its own digital setup available through Intranet and e-journal enabling students’ access to knowledge world beyond geographical limits.
The college Book Collection exceeds 10080 volumes and 2750 Titles and continues to grow. The library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for researchers, the faculty, and the student community.
Central Library is located in the East Block of the College. The operations of the library are fully computerized with KOHA Library.
Sports
Physical Education at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology Technical Campus holds a unique position in sports and games, Established in 2013. The Department provides opportunities for students to participate in sports and games so as to make their stay on the college campus useful, purposeful, and enjoyable.
Cafeteria
A canteen consists of a massive and hygienic kitchen and dining area which can accommodate up to 150 persons at a time and offers high-quality food at very affordable rates to students and faculty members.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
IT Infrastructure
The institution has 317 computers spanned across various laboratories, departments, and administrative offices, and they are connected to the internet. The infrastructure incorporates both wired and wireless networks connecting all the building blocks of the college. The Institution has an Internet facility of 20 Mbps from Airtel (Leased Line) and 20 Mbps from Asianet (Broadband). Available bandwidth is 40Mbps.
Transport
The college provides buses for students and faculty to commute from various locations. Buses from all important places within a radius of 50 Kms are provided for days scholars.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
Convenience Store
VAST TC has a cooperative store that provides textbooks, engineering drawing equipment, and other stationery to students at concessional rates.
