Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Arts and Science College

The Students of Visual Communication won the Overall Championship in “Spectrum 2018” A State level Media Literacy inter College Competition organized by Fatima College, Madurai.     S. Harish, student of B.Sc. FTVP II year won the First Prize in Short film Competition for his film titled “Karam”. V.Priyadharsini and N.Vijay students of M.Sc.Viscom I year won the Second Prize in Poster Making. J. K. Anubhav Krishana the student of M.Sc.Viscom I year won the Third Prize in Radio Jockey and Report Writing Competitions. M.Bhamini, the Student of B.Sc. FTVP II year won the third prize in Ad Film Production Competition. The Honorable President, Respected management Executive, Principal, HoD and Faculty members of the Department have appreciated the winners.

Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Arts and Science College (VMKVASC), a Constituent College of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation Deemed to be University, Salem, serves the rural society by offering top quality education and inculcating the research and development attitude among student community. VMKVASC was started in 1995 as an affiliated college to the University of Madras. Later, it was affiliated to Periyar University, Salem in the year 1997.

VMKVASC became a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation Deemed to be University in 2004. Currently the Institution offers 7 Under Graduate Courses, 7 Post Graduate Courses and Ph.D. Programme in Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics. The Institution is ISO 21001:2018 Certified Institution and recognized as top performing nodal centre for Virtual lab. The Institution has constituted Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell and serving the rural community for the betterment of their business or enterprises by providing the technical knowledge. VMKVASC is collaborating with institution of national importance for research and development activities.

The Institution serves the Society with its best Education System, Excellent Infrastructural facilities, Laboratories, Information Resource Centers etc., especially for the poor and the down trodden rural people in and around the geographical surroundings of the Institution.
