Course Details

The program is autonomous under Anna University. The curriculum is designed in consultation with academicians in other leading institutions and industry. The objective is to impart the necessary knowledge and skills in students keeping in mind the needs of the industry.

The MBA program is of 4 semesters (2 years) duration. The evaluation of students comprises of both continuous assessment and an end-semester exam wherever appropriate. A variety of assessment tools are employed to facilitate wholesome learning.

The classroom pedagogy involves the case analysis, discussions, projects and presentations. The students are encouraged to actively participate, and challenge themselves in the learning process.

The first year comprises of foundation and professional core courses to enable students gain a width of knowledge across the important functions of management.

The program leads to a dual specialization in the second year. A variety of electives are included to enable students attain both “width” and “depth” in their specializations.

The curriculum includes a two-month summer internship in a company on completion of the first year. This provides an opportunity to the student get a real experience of the corporate world, experience the application of concepts and take up the study of a problem. The final semester has a three-month project-internship which will require the student to carry out an in-depth study with a research orientation. Apart from these, many of the courses have a project component. The students are therefore “industry ready” when they complete the program.
