The establishment of NAM College by Muslim Educational Foundation (MEF) Panoor, on 16th June 1995, is the materialization of a long cherished dream of the people of erstwhile “Iruvazhinad” and “Kadathanad” region of Malabar. The college is an aided institution affiliated to Kannur University, which is named after Jb. N.A.Mammu Haji, famous philanthropist and Ex-MLA of Peringalam constituency. It is accredited with B Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College is situated in verdant campus (16.82 Acres) on a hilltop on the left side of Panoor-Nadapuram Road, eight kilometers away from Panoor and one kilometer away from Kallikkandy town.
They focus to impart quality education to students belonging to different communities. Especially the minority community in the rural area, and equip them to achieve and manage the latest requirements of living through innovation and updating, and in unison to buttress intellectual and moral strengthening of the youth to act as a creative force in the process of nation building.
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the state or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto provided that the candidates coming from Non-Commerce group should have at least 45% of the aggregate marks.

Facilities
Girls Hostel The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for students. It can accommodate 50 students. 10 furnished rooms, reception counter, kitchen, dining hall, a sufficient number of toilets, furniture, and recreation area.
Gym The college has a Fitness Centre for the purpose of developing the fitness of students and faculty members. Yoga mat, wrestling mat, treadmill, ellipticals, bicycle ergometer, etc.
Library The College offers one of the best libraries in North Kerala. It has a valuable collection of books and periodicals. Access to e-resources has been provided by the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre of UGC. The college follows a centralized library system. Besides reference facilities have been arranged at all the major departments. Books, which are required for immediate references, are only available in the department collection.
Sports Ground for outdoor games with volleyball, cricket, and badminton courts Indoor games: students have TT boards, caroms boards, chess boards, and Judo and wrestling facilities.
Cafeteria A separate building with necessary facilities like kitchen, store, refrigerator and 100 seats for students and staff is available on the campus adjacent to the main building.
Auditorium The College Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 150 persons is equipped with audiovisual facilities. A Seminar Hall with seating capacity for 150, Interactive Board, LCD projector, Sound System, adequate lighting, ventilation, etc is available in the college.
Medical/Hospital The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. Mandatory health check-up of all students is done once in a year. For emergency cases, students are sent to the Primary Health Centre, Panoor, 6 km away from the College.
Wifi The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All classrooms are connected to the Principal’s chamber with a public address system. Wi-Fi broadband internet. Students have access to the internet and INFLIBNET for e-learning.
IT Infrastructure The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Transport The college has a transport facility for students and staff. The college has two buses, which provide transport services to students and staff.
Laboratories The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. There are 4 well-equipped laboratories: 1) Computer Lab for B. Sc and M.Sc Programs 2) Lab for UGC Network Resource Centre, which is also used as 74 computer lab for students and 3) Chemistry Lab., 4) Computer Lab exclusively for girls under Women’s Resource Centre.
Convenience Store A Student’s Cooperative Society is functioning in the college, which supplies textbooks and stationery items to students and staff.
