St. Ann's College of Education is a premier College of Teacher Education in India. The College started in 1943, is the first private training college in Karnataka State when only two Government Training Colleges, i.e., in Mysore and Belgaum existed. There were only four training colleges in South India, namely, in Madras when this college was affiliated to the Madras Presidency.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. the programme should be as prescribed by NCTE, UGC, State Government, and Mangalore University as listed below: i. Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in Bachelor‘s Degree and/or the Master‘s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 percent marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission

Girls Hostel The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
Gym There are 24 steps multiple gymnasium, weight training equipment, and cycling.
Library The college has a library facility for all students.
Sports PlayGround: A new playground is constructed with financial support from the UGC. The playground includes an athletic track, throw ball and volleyball court, badminton and Tenni-coit, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and a pavilion on two sides. Indoor Games: Facilities for aerobic exercises and indoor games such as carom, chess, table tennis.
Cafeteria The institution has a good quality canteen on the campus to cater to the needs of staff and students with beverages, snacks, and lunch with concessional rates. The other sister institutions on the campus also make the best use of the canteen facility.
Auditorium The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Medical/Hospital The annual health check-up of the students is carried out by professional doctors. A ready first-aid box is provided and students are trained in basic first aid.
IT Infrastructure The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Laboratories The institution is equipped with a language laboratory, Science laboratory, Multimedia laboratory, Computer laboratory, and Psychology laboratory. Defects in machinery and electrical connections are attended to at the earliest and regularly. Replacement of out of stock chemicals and broken apparatus is seen to as per the need. The addition of some amenities and furniture items when required is done. The importance is given to keep the laboratory facilities in working condition for their smooth functioning.
Parking Facility The college has a Parking Facility for all students and staff.
Guest Room The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
